To Pepper

Today is what would have been my dog's 10th birthday. She passed away on February 22nd after my family discovered she had advanced abdominal cancer and internal bleeding. In my grief after her death, I wrote this poem.

I miss her so much... especially today. I always loved that her birthday was one month before mine.

To the best Beagle ever, I love you and I wish you were still here. Happy Birthday!
